Default SPARCO Seat Install.....Head hitting Roof

Just installed the Sparco EVO w/ wedge base and stock sliders. My head is hitting the roof. What modifications have you done to lower the seat. Oh, and I can't seem to come up with a good search word....so maybe somebody can help

I had to solve the same problem, getting my helmet well below roll bar level.

I ended up mounting the seats right to the floor. I am going to bed now, and am leaving for Putnam bright and early for a track weekend, but will try and get some pics and help you out when I'm back on Sunday night.

Until then, good luck

Jon

just tried to above mentioned technique. will not work in the 88 civic hatches. the stock rails are placed too close together.

I got your IM. I do in fact have a Sparco Corsa in the 88, but I too have mounted it directly to the floor. In fact, it's mounted on top of the OEM seat mounts and that's still too high for me. I'm planning to remove those brackets and weld plates directly to the pan for mounting. That should give me another 1-1.5" of head room which would be great. In my car, even with the headliner and sunroof out, there's no way I could ever fit sliders in there.
