Screw driver and some sockets. It varies from car to car, I could pull mine out and put it back in with in 5 mins.

fairly easy. it took me about 8 mins.

but if you want a bypass valve you need to to have something that will cut pipe. like a saw...very fine saw

1-unbolt old airbox, from intake manifold. you may have to reove a oxygen sensor

2-bolt new air filter onto tube.

3-bolt onto intake manifold.

-this should take you about half an hour at most and dont forget the tube that gos to the cylinder head

Uh.. why? the O2 sensor is attached to the exhaust mainfold. Unless your talking about the intake temp sensor for OBD-II cars?

It would help to take off the bumper but isn't nessasary. You will have to take off the underlining to get the bottom half of the airbox. Its fairly easy though.

On a cold air the filter is in the fender / bumper area so its best to remove the bumper it only takes like 10 extra min to remove and re-stall it so why not. It makes the job easier IMHO

i just turn my right wheel inward, and put my air filter in through there.

But some of us like to keep our inner fenders. So taking off the front bumper is a must.

no need to take off the bumper. I think it's a lot easier to just pull off the inner lining, and replace it when you're done. Eitherway will work, I just think taking off the inner lining is easier

I have a 2000 Civic EX-G Sedan and when I went to install the cold air I found that the panel that you pass it through to get it to inner bumper was not open. I can see where it is supposed to be knocked out but the metal is all there.

Is this a knockout panel or does it need to be cut

thanks.

Is a AEM cold air intake, the kind that go down by the bumper and the wheel.

All cold air intakes go down to the wheel, only short ram stays where you can see the filter.

I used a screw-driver, saw, fingers, and you'll definately need some of those lil rubber screw thingys. I took me about 15mins on my back under my friends car to undo everything with the factory intake box. There is one realllly hard to get to screw right in behind the bumper, so I highly recommend that you do so. After you get rid of that box, (if you haven't removed the bumper) I found it much easier to bring the tube from the bottom up through the hole, as it seems to get stuck from the top.

Actually, that isn't an AEM CAI. If it was, the mounting bracket would be welded to the piping. What that guy has works just as well but is not made by AEM.

Most time consuming part is getting the stock air box out, honda feels like they have to bolt that thing down like no other After that 5 min tops.
