i'm very excited about this:

http://www.learningcurvesriverside.com/home.php

A "new" road course in riverside, CA is hopefully going to be built in the near future, whether or not it is in close proximity to the old site of the old riverside road course i don't know. whether the layout is the same, i don't know.
what i do know is that, as much as i love SOWS and BW, driving to and from Riverside is a lot closer. Redline, Speedventures, digital racer, throw some weight around! make this work!!!

and for the WCHC guys, hopefully another track will get added to the circuit.

It's also exciting for the local auto-x chapter since it gives us another lot option (hopefully) with the SBD airport tarmac coming apart in chunks, the HWP site charging an arm and a nut, and the Cali speedway site raising prices to catch up to HWP...

finally, some good news for local motorsports.

It looks too small to host a full race weekend.

I recently drove a circuit that length. It was fun, but I did miss the long straight because it allows the field to spread out and you to get some some running room. In the end it was still very fun.

Jesus, I thought Gateway was tiny. Looks cool though. Potential time trial venue?
