Default How good is a $2000-$2500 paint job.

I'm goin to buy a prelude for a nice price, but there is some dings and scratches so I may as well paint it...championship white.

So how good do you think a paint job that is around 2000 to 2500 bucks.

That's how much I'm willing to spend.

Anyways have this prelude is why I want it championship white. Anyone knows the info on it, color spec, how much, this and that. Any help is welcome. Thanks.

MY $2500 body/paint job:

Pretty much flawless, but it was at his shop for about 6 months. You just have to find someone that does good work for the price and have lots of patience!

And for those of you curious about the progress on the RHD (To make it SOMEwhat Tech related!):

I see that you're in MN. I paid around that price for my paint job. I had it done my Tom and his buddy, in Maple Lake, MN. He fudged me over on my '96 Prelude VTEC paint job. For one, the fool did not paint the SOLID sliding sunroof. He masked it over, thinking it was glass. Horrible amounts of overspray. Terrible paint job. "Orange peel" look all around.

If in Saint Paul, MN, and you want to check out my fudged up paint job, let me know.

I'm goin to have to redo their paint job and body work. This time, I'll do it myself.

Good luck.

Miguel @ Mob works charges...like 3 g's for a full job. That's a show job though. Paint only what's seen, like 2,000 - 2,500. They do some good **** though. I'm saving to go there.

Any evidence to back that up. Or do you just have your own paint shop.

Mobworks is good, definitely not the best. Theres a lot of paint jobs out there that cost upwards of 5K.

6 months???!!! My God, that is a long time. I was getting pissed because my car has been in the paint shop for 3 weeks. I paid $2200, it should be done by Wednesday and I'll post some pics.

Mob looks good enough to me, they seem to do good work from what I've seen and especially for not keeping them in the shop forever. Which is good for people like me without a daily driver.

why...rhd is cool...exterior isnt...
yeah, you can find plenty of decent paint jobs for 800 - 1500...but those 2500 are pretty good...and close to the best...
