Can I make a non-street legal bike legal?
I'm interested in the Honda 2004 NSR50R. It's a small and looks good.
I was just wondering if there's any way I can make it street legal? like put blinkers, lights, blah blah...etc
I see pocket bikes ride around all day and rarely get harassed by cops. You think I'd get harassed by cops if i rode it on the street? haha
I'm not a big guy so a 600 is out of the question. If i can't make it legal, is there any other bike you guys suggest that is around the same size or a little bigger?
I don't really care about performance, I just want a bike to ride.
TIA

I got my 2003 Ninja 250 w/ 3k miles for $2300. Its not very hard to handle and the insurance only costs me $440 a year with State Farm.
There are plenty of threads about beginner bikes and etc. Theres even a sticky at the top of the forum addressed to all beginners/noobs. Do some reading and make a decision.

It's highly unlikely that it will be street-legal, since Honda didn't design it for that purpose. But, at the least, you'll have to add a headlight, taillight, and turn signals. I don't even think there's any wiring for that stuff on the bike, so you might have to custom fabricate something. Which might require upgrading your charging system. And possibly the battery and alternator.
The Ninja 250 is a great starter bike. You can also look into the GS500 (Suzuki brought it back with fairings so it slightly resembles the GSXR line).

Wow, thanks for the response guys.
Yes, I've read the sticky. I just wanted to know about the street legal stuff. Well once again, thanks, I'm going to look into all the bikes mentioned.
