A tube is a tube. But the filter sucks, and probably isn't reusable like AEM or K&N. You may want to search before posting on product consultations next time, the is covered about 10 times a day.

Oh, and that's not a cold air intake, it's a short ram. The short ram filter is in the engine bay, while the CAI has a longer tube that routes it down near the fender and wheel well.

Yeah, its a cold air intake.

See how it bend at the end and it has another short peice of pipe.

But for the price, you can't beat it. Just replace the filter with a K&N and your good to go.

the way i see it, buy an ebay $5 intake. A polished pipe is pretty much a polished pipe. Just swap off the no name filter for a K&N

Or you could ditch the intake tubing altogether and steal a piece of your woman's pantyhose. Wrap the TB in that and you're set .

The ultimate noise maker, which is what most ram air intakes are anyway.

i bough one of these cai on ebay about 2 years ago at the time it was 65 bucks shipped, which was super cheap at the time, we compare the tubing to my friends aem cai, and it was the same, tested temperature on both after hard driving and both were at the same level. even mounted at the same location as the aem.
after 3 months i replaced the filter with a k&n.
i say as long as you plan on switching to the k&n filter down the line then you should def get it, i bet a dyno side by side with both having k&n filter will produce the same numbers.

IMO intake is nothing but an aluminum pipe, the size and filter does matter though. I wouldn't spen hundred of dollar on name brand intake when a $30 can do as good as them

Too restrictive. Go with the fishnet version, and you'll be making 2-3 more at the wheels
