ONe week to go.... Who's attending Washington DC National Tour?
Holy STS class Batman! 28 cars?! And quite a few quick ones, I might add. I'll be there spectating most likely. I'm not at the caliber yet to compete with those guys...
I've run with several of them - Ryan Thompson, Doug Allen, Heyward Wagner, Scott Sawyer, Aaron Buckley, Bryan Hertweck... They're all outta my league.

I had to withdraw...had a baby last weekend. Emergency C-section for my wife 5 weeks early so I may be officially out for a while. No matter, I am a daddy.
Congrats!!!
I backed out becuase of the traffic expected in the NE corridor due to the opening of the new Memorial a few blocks away from the site.

Same here. There's nothing quite like breaking in a new suspension at a national event.

I'll be running in the #79 BS Red Bank Racing Silver 2000 Honda S2000 (whew, doesn't that roll off the tongue?), codriving for Tom Labetti. Haven't auto-x'd in a few years and I sucked pretty horribly when I did. At least I'll be able to keep the tires warm (If I don't cord them).
Every class needs a backmarker, right?

This tour will determine if I should even try Toledo and Peru Tours
I might be outgunned I might not be. I'm hoping for the later
Sts is going to be a FAST class this year with like 1/2 the class in 1989 Civic Sis. Ugh!

SM has quite a few entries, almost as much as sts. i'll be there. someone has to be a backmarker, so it might as well be me....

I'll be there in the #91 NATSCAR/Evolution/Junious Johnson Z-28 running in F Stock. I'm hoping not to be crushed like a little bug by the three previous national champions in the class in my first dry event in the car. I'm doing both the Tour and the Pro.
Somebody has to take Karen's place in the class. As long as I don't have to wear the Bud dress all will be OK.

You wouldn't be the first guy to do so.

Whatever number it would've been I aint gonna be it.
Shame you aren't able to run the Tour. It was a blast last year running in class with you. Hope the suspension and all the other demons have been taken care of for the Pro! Keath told me your cars have been on strike.

Oh so you are the Ryan on there
NevarR! It's a progression thing. I got 3rd in 2002. I got 2nd in 2003. So if things work the way they should I should be 1st in 2004, right?
I'm putting some new mods on next week also (hopefully get them Tuesday).

you going to be there friday for practice? If we get thru with testing with time leftoever maybe we can switch cars for a couple runs. I'd like to see how a fully prepared 6th gen si would do. I never got to the prep level yours is.
I am going to give GS a try in Rob Foley's Celica for the Tour. I'll be running the CRX at the pro though...The first national event in my own car in ...umm..Oh man, I can't remember that long ago
.
GS is going to be a VERY tough class at the Tour. Last I checked there were 24 in class with some serious comp. Should be alot of fun.
See you there.

How do you get so many points having never ran a large event?

Its actually to your advantage to run smaller events and win.
