LOL whale *****, i remember that pic.....

but really, OEM looks like well, a stock air box. j's racing or AEM look good, but may not be the look "you" want. but they do help in the HP deparment..

You should powdercoat your IM and heat shield black. It's almost like you've got a flow going with your engine bay. Painted black, black valve cover, black wires, everything...

And hey, it's your engine bay, if you're fine with the restrictive stock air box, then it's all good, just as long as you weren't duped into thinking that an SI airbox is going to be marginally if at all better than any other oem airbox.

A good air intake system is the stock air box with a K&N drop in filter. Mated to the air box is a short ram intake pipe. No resonator. Good setup.

How is this tech related? "Your post has successfully been reported to moderator" **** like this belongs in appearance, if anywhere at all. Congrats on the stock airbox, but really...who cares?

no not looking for power right now, piecing together a turbo set up that should be up and running by July. Just wanted to get it looking way stock so that I can watch the cops get pissed when they pop the hood and cant see anything aftermarket inside. All others in Cali can relate to this 4 sure.

by the way good Idea on the powerder coated intake mani, I have an extra one that I was goin to port match. Might was well coat that thing black too.

As far as being restrictive I drove it last night and felt no diff on the butt dyno. Its a stock ls anyway, dont think it is pullin too much air.

I personally prefer the look of a stock intake box on a swapped hatch.
I have an ebay intake on mine, but only because the intake makes my loud *** exhaust quieter(not sure how, it just does).

edited cause I'm dumb.
