Default Hey, gotta question...GSR vs. K Series

I have a 92 hatch with a GSR that is tuned pretty insane, it has a straight pipe and cold air, and is fully lightened to around 1000lbs, everything is cut out and replaced with aluminum, the car itself is very light now, my mechanic says the car as it is should be a high 12 second car, and it pulls crazy compared to my 3rd gen RX7 I had, but what is up with the K series? Are they better? Can u still pull a lot of power out of them? My next step is building the motor than turbo charging it, hoping to run 9's........am I going to right way or should I look for a K series swap? I don't know much about hondas thisi is my first experiance.
