Default Pit scooters

Looking for some suggestions for very small pit vehicles. I'm kind of looking for a gas powered scooter, as I've seen a couple in the paddocks at Divisional autocross. I don' t need a Quad or anything like that for hauling around parts too. Just mainly something to get my lazy *** from point A to point B quickly.

Anyone recommend any brands or things to look for? Needs to be lightweight and fit in my trunk.

In the spirit of never giving a useful answer, is this what you're looking for?

Eat enough bean burritos and it will be gas powered. Careful, the tires flat spot real easy.

Some tracks won't allow bicycles. Show up at Mid-Ohio with a bicycle and the track security ***** may try to confiscate it if they see it. I nearly came to fisticuffs with one in particular once. They seemed to have no problems with scooters though, pretty strange. Maybe the guy just woke up on the wrong side of the decade.

IM me for details. It will go on eBay soon otherwise.

Smartasses. The bike wouldn't fit in the trunk with all the race gear. If I can't find something motorized and reasonably affordable, I've thought about one of these:

My IM doesn't work, as I've always got pop ups blocked. Since you're in my neck of the woods, how's it work on the hills at RA (man it's a long trip to the bathrooms!) and the gravel at BHF? What are you thinking for price?

Coming to Milw. Region #1 this Sunday?

I'll be at the Milwaukee event this weekend -- you can try it out for yourself
This one only works on pavement though, and it has made it up the *big* hill at RA

Check out GoPed, they sponsor me, those things will go forever with one tank of gas and are pretty quick. Good prices too!

I have thought about using my son's KTM Pro Jr. but it is way too loud...

I just use a razor scooter to get around..

Last HC in willow, I got kick off the paddocks for being on a scooter that did not have a seat. They told me it was the new law if you cant sit on it you cant ride it. I was taking ice back to our ice box and it was going to be a long walk. I was being a smart *** I told the guy what if I put the ice on the scooter and then sit on the ice would that count, he got mad.

All depends on how much you want to spend, I have that red 49cc bike posted above those are $500 or less new.
I also have a XR50, this one has 3 gears and ALOT faster.
The're plenty of upgradeable parts for it aswell. Those arent cheap though, new=1400 OR used for under 1k.

Make sure they are allowed. At the last NASA event at Willow Springs the announcer said that scooters (even the Razor types) were not allowed.

I would suggest a pocket bike. A scooter is rather difficult to pick up. Mine only weighs about 200 lbs, but it is extremely awkward to carry.

GO Ped!!! They weigh nothing, are cheap, quiet, and you can add on a seat for very cheap!
