doing an auto to manual conversion on my 89 dx hb. will i be able to use the starter on the auto and move it over to the si tranny?

i second that, i'm pretty damn sure you wont be able to use it they are 2 different starters

 

I have an engine set up with a Z6 block and an ED Si tranny. I am able to fit a 91 auto starter on it as well as one from a 93 Si. They look different, but they fit fine.

I haven't tried starting with them, but I can't see any reason why they shouldn't work.

The posts for all the wire connections are in different locations, but they don't interfer with anything.
