Need help with ABS light
I need help in deciding whether or not to purchase a 1993 2-door Honda Accord EX. The car has 214,350 miles and supposedly the timing belt has been changed about a couple of years ago. The car is really, pretty good shape, inside and out. The price is $1,850. The tires have decent tread, but, could be replaced. But, the one thing that I have a question about is the brake light and the ABS light are lit on the dash panel. The owner told me everything has been checked out and no problems were found. The car drove very well. The brakes worked but, I noticed you had some travel in the pedal. The pedal wasn't going to the floor. It stopped fine. I was told by a Honda dealer that maybe the sensor could be bad and this would cost about $1200 to fix. I would have brakes but, no anti-locking system. Should you drive the car without the ABS until you can have this repaired. I could use alittle help in deciding. Is the car worth it. No dents, a few scratches, all in all it looks pretty good. Thanks in advance. Slowride2
you can drive the car no problem without ABS. Everything will work normally.
The brake light on the dash means it's very-very low on brake fluid. Top-off.
