Default DOHC VTEC Wiring EF

I put an ls/vtec in my ef and did the dpfi-to-mpfi wiring conversion. The wiring harness did not have 12v in it at the ijectors or various sensors so I used a 12v line from an un-used sensor connector that was left over when I placed harness on the engine to the yel/blk wire at the left side shock tower. Now when the car is started and I take the key out of the ignition the car still runs like the key is in the ignition. Only when I pull the fuel pump connecter does the engne shut off. I also think the fuel pump is always running because I hear a hissing sound from the return side of the FPR. I do not have the alternator wiring hooked up, can this be the cause or could it be the way I supplied 12v to the wiring harness. Any info is very much appreciated.
