can someone help me out ASAP? i was just driving my girl friend to her sisters house (maybe 2 miles) and my temp guage shot up FAST..it had never done that before. So when i got to her sisters i opened the hood and checked everything. I have a pin-hole in the radiator, but it hasn't given me any problems before, and even in stop-n-go driving my temp has never gone above the 1/2 mark but it was all the way up today. maybe it will be fine or maybe something is wrong but can someone help me out? I had an idea of what had happened..but i'm not sure. i don't know where the temp guage is hooked up and where the temp is taken, but i was thinking that maybe some radiator fluid fell on the temp taker ( i don't know the real name) but i have no idea where it is on my car....oh, i have a 91 CRX si. but if someone can help me i'd really be thankful. i hop emy baby will be ok

EDIT: also....if it shot up really fast...theres prob some sort of problem with the thermometer or the guage......

 

its less than the size of a pen tip...all it does is vent air/gas out the hole so it doesn't leak much. I have to fill it up maybe once a month

hey what are the chances of a .."Glitch" in my temp guage? i have never heard of it happening but i think it could be a possiblilty. other than that i have no idea..it shot up fast like.....from 1/2 to the top within a second.
