boost a duel carb?
was just wondering if it's possible to boost a duel carb d15b from my 88-91 jdm crx ??? if so, please post some links that i could read up on it. if not then i'll have to go with the mpfi swap.. help me out
I really don't have any information for you other then to do the MPFI swap, it will get you some HP and will run a lot better for turbo if you ask me. Need more fuel to get to the engine quicker. Know what I'm saying?
its possible but u will need to build a pressure box around the carbs for the pressurized air to get into the carbs...butin all reality those stock carbs wont handle boost very well and ur gonna cook the motor
and as for doin a MPFI swap, good luck gathering all the fuel lines, tank, pump and then the harness etc for the injection, then u would need the ECU and then comes the basic mpfi parts
best option buy a fuel injected civic

don't do it its stupid, do you know how hard it is to fiddle with a carb under boost, and you will never get the air to fuel right you'll just blow the moter and you wont be able to inter cool easily.
ok so you see big performance gains when you see cars thats are turbo'd and you say wow i should do that, but you don't really know alot about them. do your research on factory turbo cars like early svo's nobody likes them. if you're really good at tuning your carb then maybe but every thing changes under boost and you wont have nifty engine managment systems, i'd just do a moter swap and turbo that

Domestics do it with no problem, it'll be fined if the carbs are tuned correctly.

a stock dinky honda carb will never handle boot especially since honda made them so they arent user re-jetable...not to mention they flow like a straw...and those d15 turbo projects are on dpfi on carbs
there is a reason that nobody has done this on a lowly civic that has carbs...cuz it just wont work

No ****, I wasn't talking about a bone stock engine with a rochester. I've seen some nice setups. You're so quick to be a smartass,
to you my friend.

ok, well thnx for all the input... i didnt wanna do the mpfi swap, think im just gonna go buy a d15b, boost it, then drop it in, and do the bit of wireing that is needed.
if u have a carbed car its gonna take more than wiring to drop a fuel injected motor in
ur gonna need the ENTIRE fuel system from a fuel injected car + the ECU and wiring harness, bascially the whole engine bay wiring harness
