you can also buy a jdm itr cat.....but if you choose to use a highflow go with a catco...it flows best out of the highflow cats....there was a post with all of the flow numbers from the oem b series cats, smsp, random, and catco...

Actually, the Car Sounds (which IPS and SMSP use) have proven to be the best-flowing out of the ones that you mentioned. Here are the figures you're referring to, and while a 2.5" Car Sound wasn't tested, you can see how the 2.25" version flows better than the 2.25" Catco. I believe that Dave (SMSP) had stated a while back that the newest 2.5" Car Sound's he uses should flow over 400 CFM, but you'd have to contact him to confirm that.

I personally like the Carsound. I have one in my ITR CRX. And you can definitely tell that it flows better than other cats. First of all, the inlets and outlets are MUCH cleaner and smoother than other cats. In many cats, these are VERY rough and have protruding welds. Also, the transitions are MUCH more gradual than on other cats. This GREATLY helps flow, especially at the inlet.
