FYI: I weighed my car
For those of you interested. Weighed my Integra. 1/2 tank of gas, maybe a hair less than half... anyway..
my car has gone on a little diet.
here goes:
*removed ABS system, replaced m/cyl & prop.valve with 95 RS piece
*removed P/S rack, pump, etc.. installed 92 CX rack and pinion
*removed rear wiper
*removed antenna motor, shaved hole
*removed SRS system, installed momo wheel
*removed front and rear bumper supports
*carbon fiber hood
*aem intake
*dc jdm 4-1 and test pipe
*stock wheels (I WISH the Regas were on the car at the time!)
*no spare tire or jack.
otherwise, full interior, full A/C, complete OE exhaust, etc.
2320 lbs. without me
2540 lbs. with my 218 lb. *** in it.
Combine that with 184 and 131 at the wheels... can't wait to hit the track.
Car feels nice.

Power steering does nothing for you at speed. I had a '95 Civic DX HB and loved the steering response on that little car. The only time PS is a nice luxury is at dead standstill or at a very very slow crawl.
i already dumped the ac, but parking my friends car is a bitch with no PS, so ill keep it, and stop eating fast food.
BTW, does the antenna motor actually weigh anything? i have my power cut to the antenna because i dont use the radio, and the antenna comes up even when just the cd player is on. annoying.

I weighed mine without rear seats, spare, jack, rear interior trim panels, and pass. front seat with about a quarter tank. I had 17" in the rear and kosei w/ drag radials on the front and mine weighed in @ 2300 lbs. I don't know how accurate the scale was because it looked like it was older than dirt.
HX: yea those poops.. i mean coupes... they are tanks. civic hatch is the way to go if you want lightness.. cant wait to weigh my hatch after i am done with it.
btw, the weigh before was 2800 with full tank of gas and me in it. this was before any lightening.. its my only basis for comparison.

Last # was alternating between numbers, but you get the idea. It's 2124 lbs after adding up all 4 corners. He was in the driver seat during the pic

Hey Mike. Is the other rack and pinion weigh less, or is there also another benefit to it.
Do you also know how much the abs weighed by itself, and did you take it out because you didn't like it as well as for the weight savings?

on a longacra scale, my car showed:
LF 878
LR 577
RF 831
RR 528
Cross 1408 50.0%
Left 1455 51.7%
Rear 1105 39.3%
TOTAL 2814
And thats with driver.
That was with my full show stereo in the trunk, minus the sub box.
So basically my normal street and race setup.

After having my cx hatch weigh in at 2305 w/ me in it, full interior, and 1/2 tank gas... I decided that there was NO OTHER WAY TO GO!!!
Both scale #'s are nice... you can tell that they emphasize some of that weight up front. Drag racing cornerweights, maybe?

The CX rack is about half the diameter of the ITR rack. You need the little spindle joint piece off the CX, too. The ITR spline is too big..
But yea.. the biggest weight difference was removing the SRS system. Between both airbags, that **** weighs a LOT.
The CX rack is lighter too.

Isn't the 92 CX rack and pinion geared a lot "longer" than the current ITR r & p? This could be a valid mod unless I had to turn the wheel 5 rotations for a 90 degree turn
Put a handle on that baby!
