i put a first generation b16 into my 91 Hf. i connect the positive first and then the negative. it sat there for a second and the 60A battery fuse blew. so i check my grounds. i saw that the guy helping me connected the negative battery ground to the battery tray, so i moved it to the tranny and relplace the fuse. as soon as i touched the negative terminal it blew again. what can it be?

 

any ideas?

 

check your cables and harnes, I'll be you have scraped insulation and its shorting out.

 

check your ground to the strarter and the tranny they might be off

 

also is it sparking when u put the negative on there?
