Hey guys, I'm having this problem with my CRX. It happened a while back but I wasnt driving too much so it didnt really bother me, but heres how it goes:

A while back i swapped another d15b2 into my car to drive around cause the original one blew. Speedo cable got broken during the swap so I got a new one. Mileage worked fine for a while.

Then one day I pushed the trip reset button to clear the mileage off the odometer and it never started counting up again. Speedometer still works fine

I read about removing a c-clip in order to roll your mileage on a new cluster back or forwards to your original mileage. Is there a chance this could have come off?

I'm getting my b18c1 ready to swap in and I really need my mileage to work so I can gauge the break-in of the new motor. Help me out here!

some small little plastic gear proably striped out, your best chance of fixing it, replace the whole thing

 

I agree, the odometer is busted, swap the whole guage, they are cheap enough in the yards.

 

Bro I have a couple of speedometers if you need one let me know
