Default Reving 10,000 RPM's!? What is needed???

I saw on eBay titanium valve springs, now it says you can rev the motor and the valves will handle 10,000 RPM's, now wouldnt that put strain on other parts on the motor? So if you just bought the valve springs your motor cant handle 10,000 RPM's could it?

Just curious because i found this hard to believe....There has to be more needed than valve springs right?

hmmmm

There is no point in revving that high unless you are making power up in that rev range anyway. What kind of cam(s) do you have?

It just means that those valves could go threw an engine run with the RPM's hitting 10 grand. Doesnt mean the rest of the motor will make it. And i dont think that many motors rev up to 10 grand. Plus its eGay, alot of Bullshit going on there.

1. a reason...like big ****** cams
2. name brand valve springs and retainers that are rated to that high, not some ebay crap
3.forged internals as in pistons and rods. im sure stock can handle it, but for how long?
4. money, bc a few things wear out faster at that rpm

Make sure you the motor is real healthy coz if you let go in gear that high too many times you'll need to say bye bye to the motor.

But spring pressure is key to keeping things happy up there.

Also, certain cams are not very "smooth" and after a certain rpm almost any amount of spring pressure won't control the valves.

To rev that high you would want, retainers, valves, springs, cams and gears( dont need um, but is better if you do). And then you wanna get it to a dyno to see where you stop gaining hp. If you can rev up to 9500 or 10000 and still make power than great, but dont rev that high without making power. If you build it right, itll last for about a year before you need to reseat your valves and make sure everything is lasting. 10k isnt a problem with the right parts and a good tuner. Go NA and rev the **** out of it.
