Default Buttonwillow NASA event June 5th, anyone as an instructor?

I'm planning on attending the NASA event at buttonwillow on Saturday June 5th, for the most part of my 10 track days I've been without an instructor. I've done a couple of days with some friends in the car seeing where I can improve, and what I am doing completely wrong.

Is there anyone attending the Saturday event as an intructor that I could talk into hopping in the car with me for a little while? I'd prefer someone off of this board, or someone that has a pretty good knowledge of the FF platform, as the previous instructors were all FR drivers, and they had never ridden in a slightly modified Type-R.

I'll be driving my 2001 itr, falken tires, cobalt gt.spec.VR brakes, EVO2 driver's seat with a 5 point, stock passenger's seat w/ stock seatbelt and 5 point(previous passenger's have not had an issue, but it's a personal preference if they want to use it)

Any thoughts?

Ask for Mike Peters if he shows up. He is not a Honda guy, but I believe he is the chief instructor for NASA SoCal. He is also the chief instructor for Speed Trial USA. Very good teacher.

Mike is a cool guy, and we took the racing certification school together way back... Although, IIRC he's mainly RWD.

Austin, If you can't find someone, come say 'Hi' to us that weekend, and I may be able to go out with you in a session or two if you want. (I also have a DC2 and have instructed numerous times at BW with NASA, BMWCCA) Look for this car and ask for Dennis:

I'll be there instructing. I have a white '95 GS-R so I'm easy to spot. What run group did you sign up for?

Thank you Dennis and David, I've registered as a group 2, I'm most likely a group 3 driver, but I'd prefer to start in 2 and move up as needed. I was told when I was at Buttonwillow last month that running 2:16's in the morning, and I'd like to think that I was running 3-5 seconds faster in the afternoon, 13 CW without Star Mazda.

I would love to have one take a session, or two in the car to give me a few pointers.

Austin,

I recommend getting rides from experience people as well. For me, it makes more difference than having instructor beside me. It doesn't matter if the car FWD or RWD. It is pretty similar, the physics are the same. The only difference is setting the car up.

David and Dennis...I'm going to be looking each one of you up this weekend. I just spoke with Ryan Flaherty and he moved me up to Group3, and I'll be doing both Saturday and Sunday.

Andrie...Since I live local to Sears Point(30 minutes) I went out and got some rides from R.J. in the RHD itr, as well as a few other drivers...I'll be trying to grab rides with whoever is willing to take me this weekend. I lost your number, so I couldn't call you on the parts

My clutch went out so I'm not gonna be there this weekend. Sorry guys. I'm sure "UltimateTSI" will come up with some good pics.
