RSX Catback
I just got rearended by an uninsured non-english speaking landscaper in my brand new (2300 miles) RSX Type S. Everything's OK, but I have an opportunity to replace my exhaust:
What is the best Catback exhaust for the RSX that gives a nice tone but not ricey?
I need comments by today or I put it off and just get stock exhaust until I have time to research it.
THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT!

Here's the synopsis so far (see below)...
Please let me know any feedback on:
HP gain (stock or mod engine)
Look
Sound (I want throaty, but not ricey and not too loud)
Value
quality
vendor comments (good / bad experience)
anything else???
Catbacks for '04 RSX Type S:
Borla $606.06 from Proficient Performance: "Great sound, not ricey, a little large"
Greddy Sp2 $489.99 from RSX Motorsports: "Quiet and looks clean."
Apexi N1 $530.00 from ProStreet: "Throaty as hell."
Invidia $445.00 from RSX motorsports: "Like Skunk2." "Loud, even with silencer on." "Lots of people like the sound though."
Skunk2 $559.99 from Autosportz: "Like Invidia."
Greddy Evo2 $499.99 from RSX Motorsports: "Sounds Great."
BuddyClub Spec 3 $550.00 from RacerWheel
Comptech $649.99 from RSX motorsports:
Mugen $975.00 from King Motorsports: "Sick."
Injen cb $??? from ???
Spoon N1 $??? from ???: "Loud as hell."
Fujitsubo RM-01A $??? from ???: "Perfection in exhausts."
Fujitsoba Power Getter $590.00 from RSX Motorsports: "Sounds like an Indy car". Like the RM-01A, but more economical.
DC Sports Single Canister: $530.00 from RSX Motorsports:
Again, this decision is a rushed one and I have not had the time to check out all of these options (and others) so I really don't know which sounds best, has best dyno, has best look, etc... I only just bought my RSX a month ago and I have been away on business when I got rear ended, so this decision is kinda forced on me quick. I need a decision by tomorrow!
THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR HELPING A FELLOW RSX'r OUT!

Someone just sent me a message (IM) but I couldn't reply (I'm in training mode, hehe)...
You said a b-pipe and a Type R exhaust for something not too loud but with HP gain...
What kind of gain, what kind of price?
THANKS!!!

don't worry too much about dynos for just an exhaust, concentrate on quality, sound preference and fitment. Powergetter is nice but a little hard to find. You should also take a look at the Hayame above some of those other brands.

Thanks a lot for all the replies...
One last question:
Normally, I'd put a CAI on at the same time as a new cat back, and I'd also replace both sway bars at once too. But, since this is a repair job and I may only want to do the cat back and the rear sway at this time, are there any negative repercussions?
THX!

for most people there's really no need to upgrade the front swaybar; upgrading the rear one only gets rid of the stock understeer and balances the car nicely.
Progress rear sway bar, and either Greddy SP2 or RS*R Ex Mag. I prefer the RS*R over the Greddy. It looks stock, has a deep throaty growl to it when you punch it, is hand made out of stainless steel, and is coated black for added protection.
