Forgive my ignorance if the ECU isn't needed.

im pretty sure u need the ecu. and i think its pretty expensive. i think i remember hearing brand new it cost 5k or more

Sweet jeezus 5K for a head? This isn't GroupA or anything. I would have guessed 800-1200 bucks.

go to http://www.acuraparts247.com and look up what you need. depends what all you include; the bare head is over $1200 without cams or valves. ECU is over $500.

it'll be around 1200+600 valvetrain and ECU is not needed.. just get hondata on ur stock a3 ecu

I agree here, just do hondata and grab a head, OR just do the whole swap, there are afew full swaps running around for about 3.5k

Yea the oem k20 engines from honda are very expensive. I would say that 5k wouldn't be too far off what they actually sell them for.

you can pick up used heads for under $1000 and ECU's for under $300

I have a complete swap right now for $3500 and an extra ECU for $250 if you want it, but you have to get the K-pro because I dont have the immobilizer to go with it, but I can help you with that....in fact, I would give you a discount on the ECU if you bought K-pro from me

http://www.clubrsx.com dudes .... the heads are around 700 and yes they are complete heads with internals and all that they're not bare. and ecu's go for 100

I do not believe that will work, as far as getting hondata on a base ecu.
