Pics of SDS/turbo prelude
Got sick of the ECU so I splurged and got standalone. So far so good, i love being able to tune on the fly and see whats going on with the engine. One thing i would like to have that i dont is datalogging. I also got a turbo with different specs now. and yes i normally run a filter, it just isnt a very fashionable one so i took it off. On top of the sds im running 550 Rc inj.. with a stock regulator and a bosch pump. The sds is tuned to 7lbs now, Im going to go to 10lbs once i get money for the dyno. Im having trouble with the boost controller now because i dont have a vacuum sorce on the turbo so for now im going to the manifold, but it is causing me to boost more than i want. Im going to have to either tap the turbo or the ic piping right off the turbo for a vacuum sorce if i am going to run 5-7 lbs. For that reason i havent really got on it in 3rd gear since it spikes to about 8.5 lbs and all i have is some 93 octane a nos booster. Dont really trust it. But anyhow, im going to MIR this weekend and ill fill it up wit 110 and see how it feels. As off right now, i cant hold traction in 1st or 2nd, i know most of yall have this problem, but for me its a first since preludes are a pain in the ***. Anyhow, heres a couple pics. Before all this max hp was 223 and 190 ft lbs of torque. I would guess at least 250 hp now, but ill know for sure within a month.
here is a link to the pictures in photopoint, the pics arent as big there

That's very sweet. That's one wierd *** pulley mod to make it into a trigger wheel.
How much did the SDS system cost you? I can't wait to get rid of my distributor. You make so much room doing that.

SDS is 1250. yea, the crank pulley was a pain in the ***. I dont think you can tell in the picture, but we drilled a whole in the oil pan and used all thread to mount it on one side, and the other one we just pulled out a timing belt cover bolt and got a longer one. only thing with sds is you have to pull the motor to get it all lined up right. I love not seeing that distributor anymore.
$1250.00!! What does that include? I assume everything you need. Coil packs, trigger wheel and sensor, MAP sensor. Why didn't you just get a Haltech? Datalogging, more advanced fuel correction factors, laptop programming, sequential injection, and no trigger wheel for $1100.00 not including MAP sensor.
You would have to buy coil packs and a little extra hardware to run direct fire ignition with the Haltech if you wanted it, but it's easily doable.
Still, you have a very nice setup. I'd really like to see what numbers you put out at 10psi.

Hmmm....that looks very nice. I'm considering the SDS too but that trigger wheel scares me a little. How long does it take to get set up with a base map to get running and driving?
