I think if you install 13'' rims then the speedometer will give u wrong speed i.e. it give u 80 m/h but actually it is 90 or 70 because the diameter of the tires will change.

I dont think so, becuase the speed sensor is in the tranny

it dont matter either way, cause he wants them for strip........

im almost positive that the 13''s will not clear the caliper......cause my 15's are tucked pretty close as it is........14's might fit

Maybe you could find some 13s specifically for this type of thing that have a serious curve in them made to clear brake calipers. Sort of like the SSR comps have.

The overall wheel and tire diameter will change the speed the car is going if your tranny is calabrated at a given rate. Ex: if your tranny is calabrated to a wheel and tire combo of 215/45/17 and you put a 205/40/17 you have dropped 1 aprx 1/2 inch of tire so the car will read you are going faster than you really are. The speedo will read 65 but the semi behind you will want you to move over because you will only be going 60.

Now I don't have any hard proof but I believe thats part of the reason it's said you can go 5 mph above the speed limit because cops know there may be some variance.

Thanks for the info. I dont really care about what the speedo says, and yes it will be off according to the outer diameter of the tire. i just want to know if the 13" rim will fit. I am getting a test rim and slick today to try it out and i will let you all know if it fits.
Thanks Aaron
