help o2 HOLE STRIPED

i went to change my #1 O2 SENSOR ON MY JDM ITR HEADER AND THE O2 SENSOR STIRPED OUT..I TRY TO PUT A NEW SENSOR IT WILL NOT GO IN ..I TRY TO BUY A TAP BUT COULDN'T FIND THE SIZE.WHAT SHOULD DO??????...THANKS FOR UR HELP

The threads just got a little out of whack, you need to find a tap on the internet or something..I'll tell you what, if you cant find one, i'll buy your header..

i would say your going to need to probly get a new header...

1. Can you get the sensor in at all? If you can get it in, just not thread it, try to jb weld around it, that should hold it in no problem at all.

2. This is a strech, but drill out that hole, get a helicoil and try that. (probly wont work)

3. get that bung welded up, and get a new o2 bung welded on somewhere else on the header, or right b4 the cat, on the piping somewhere...

go to napa or autozone (any auto place) they sale O2 rethread kits

I CAN'T BUY A NEW HEADER JUST FOR THAT..THAT'S 400 $. I TRYED PEP BOYS THEY DIDN'T HAVE A TAP THAT SIZE..OR DO THEY HAVE SPECIAL O2 SENSOR KIT?

turn caps off...very anoying, but do what he said, and get that 02 thread kit.

well you could just take it down to a localmuffler shop....and let them see what they can do..?

They do have a special tap for o2's....look in the specialty tools section where they hold there pullers and what not...ask the parts counter guy....if they are out see if they can order you one...
