Asking for the opinions of those who have seen them both up close, if i get them, i want a pretty close copy.

I dont see any wisdom in spend $1000 to put wheels on a $3000 car, plus this is just my beater :D

 

ive never gotten to examine both of them up close at the same time.. but i can definately tell which is which in pics and without examining them up close. with that being said, if you like the way they look, i say go for em, even if you dont think they look exactly like volks. just my $0.02

 

There are slight differences in the location of the holes where the studs come through the center but that is barely noticeable...good looking wheels for the $

if you get them...just leave the stickers off of them theyre nice wheels...i had a set before

 

the rota's holes are even with the valve stem

the real TE-37s don't match up..

 

someone should make a site comparing rota wheels to their real counterparts with pics and all.


I plan to keep it light with this car... some 15 inch wheels, those hot red/clear tail lights and tyc 1 piece headlights. Maybe front/rear lips and some skirts, thats it.

I went all out with my SR-powered 240 and wound up disappointed. Not going to do that again.

You had an "all out" turbo RWD car and decided switching to a Civic would cure your disappointment? Or am I not following.

 

this civic is basically my "minivan" i needed something economical with cargo space.

This civic gets over 40mpg and has double the cargo room of my 240, so i satisfied both needs.

Plus, damn it, i just like the way EG hatches look, that played a big role as well.

My good friend has those grids on his 7th gen civic and they look nothing like the real TE37. They still look good but they definetly don't look like TE37's.

how so?? if the offset on the TE37 is in the 40 range then the only difference is the location of the holes, but with the lower offset on the TE37 it looks different. the basic rim shape is almost identical, but the finish on it is way different, I know because my friends own both the rota's and the volks and we compared before

 

hMm, after reading this thread i'm starting to lean towards the gunmetallic/polished lip Grids over some bronze c8's SOMEONE HELP ME!

i seen some grids that made me take a few looks to makes sure they are rotas and not volks, and i have le37s. So grids are pretty good copies.

 

The finish is notcibly different, the shape is almost identical.
