NSX from SWITZERLAND? LEGIT???
I am in the process of purchasing a 1992 NSX with 70k for 10,500 usd. I know awesome price! Well here is the catch.... The person is located in Switzerland. What do you suggest I do? I am going to use a reliable escrow service ( anybody know one?) and not pay any money up front? Has anyone ran across this before or bought a car from someone overseas? Your input would help me out

A lot of these scams have been popping up lately from sellers on eBay and on Autotrader. The alleged seller copies the photos and car info from another listing of a car for sale in the States and puts it up for sale at a ridiculously low price, claiming that the car is in Europe.

I think you'll find that the e-mails you have received from the seller look amazingly similar to those reported in these topics.
My advice: Run away. They don't have an NSX and you will never see your money again.
Even if this was legit (and it clearly IS NOT), you're not going to save any cash compared to buying a '92 with identical miles in the U.S. First of all, the shipping charge will be expensive. The other thing to think about is getting the car federalized to meet U.S. regulations. An NSX from Europe is a different breed NSX than one on our shores. You'll spend $$$ to get it federalized let alone if customs will even let you bring the car into this country. IMO, it's not worth the money or the incredible amount of time and frustration you'll go through. A friend of mine tried to bring in his NSX from Japan here and it wasn't worth the cost to get it federalized. To top it off, they refused to federalize it after he started the process. He sold it and bought one here. If you would legitimately buy a car from Europe, it will cost more than a US spec NSX after all is said and done. If customs would not allow the car into the country then you are royally hosed since the car would have to be shipped back or destroyed. Money saved? More like money wasted. Save yourself the trouble and find a '91-'92 NSX in good shape with the same mileage for around $25K-$29K.
The initial draw of a very low price (even if it was for real) will often blind you to the REAL cost of the car in the end.

All of these scams consist of someone claiming to own a U.S. market NSX, that supposedly is in Europe and would need to be shipped back to the States. Since it's already U.S. spec, it wouldn't need to be federalized. IF it existed. And IF the seller really owned it. Neither of which is true. Federalization is quite irrelevant. So, too, is reality...

LOL, I just noticed that. Oh well, now I am contributing to it. This forum could use some more topics though, so I don't feel too bad about it.
