Default 14b w/o coolant

Is it ok to run a 14b with only oil, no coolant? Do I need to plug the coolant holes if I do?

you dont need to plug the coolant openings on the turbo. nothing would come out of the turbo if you leave them unhooked. it just lets the coolant flow through to cool it.

I'm running it without coolant, no problems, just make sure you let it cool down for a while after getting the temps up.

You don't have to worry about anything getting in the coolant passages, they're not connected to anything else.

it takes about 2 minutes to hook up the coolant lines, why disconnect them?

he probably doesn't have coolant lines, and wants to know if he should. Running coolant lines to and from the turbo take more than 2 minutes........

They are expensive and/or annoying to get, more importantly I would've had to shave the block extensively to get it to fit, and since I got the turbo for free I don't really care how long it lasts.
