i plan on buying a used skunk 2 intake manifold for my geezer, do i need to buy a new intake manifold gasket too? can i get one through skunk 2? thanx jim,,

 

yup, you'll need a new gasket. just get one from the dealer.

 

may want to go ahead and get a new throttle body gasket also, some don't come off too easy..it's just like $5 ..change the pcv valve while your there, it'll be easier to get to..another $5-6

I actually re-used my intake manifold gasket when I swapped it with the Skunk2 IM. It was still perfectly fine to use... but then again I only had 9,000 miles on the car.

You'll want to get a new Throttle Body gasket tho.

 

the new throttle body gasket i got was WAY differnet and car idled funky...it was the weekend..i reused my gasket..and luckily haven't had any problems..but my intake manifold gasket was stuck on there good though
