Default ground problems???

im almost done with my swap. i went to turn the key and listen for the fuel pump and heard nothing. the headlight would turn on and for some reason the passenger side parking light would always stay on. after i sat there for a coulple of seconds it spark at the connection to the frame (from the valve cover) and the battery fuse broke. i have it grounded from the valve cover to the frame, negative to the tranny, at the starter and the hasport harness is grounded on the firewall .
is this a ground problem or something else? what do i do?

re-check all your wires make sure there going to the right place..replace blown fuses with the correct amperage..check all grounds...the wire harness should have a couple grounds coming out of it one goes on or near the thermostat the other main harness ground goes to the fuse box...correct me if im wrong
