Default Ran the b18c1'ed del sol sunday... shocked me

94 del Sol S with some weight reduction (nothing crazy though)
97 US spec b18c1 with 80k
skunk2 intake manifold
US spec ITR header
brand X short ram intake
Skunk2 catback with no cat, has a cherry bomb welded in right after the header
Kenji ECU 5500 VTEC and 8800 redline
-Everything else stock, stock wires, plugs, timing, fuel pressure, stock intank pump ETC.
was done on dunlop SP5000 tires (195-45-15) with 14 PSI launching at 4700 R's
1st run:

60' - 2.26
1/8 - 9.16
1/4 -14.14 @ 100.75

2nd run:

60' - 2.17
1/8 - 9.08
1/4 - 13.91 @ 101.3
I was more than happy with that, this motor has to be a freak or something, i was anticipating high 14s due to the fact these cars are tanks.
Im thinking about going turbo,,, simply because my V8-RX7 project wont be done this year and i need speed!!!
-What does everything think of the times?

2200 without driver, in which i weigh 165. Fairly light for a del tank, which the del sol S being the lightest is 2320ish.

well, i have a 95 acura integra front end conversion on it, not sure if thats lighter or not.
-no front or rear bumper supports (that metal beam)
-no tar on floor
-no passenger airbag
-no A/c
-no PS
-probably 15lbs in brackets and crap i didnt like on the GSR motor
-skunk mani, weighs less than stocker
-shorty intake, weighs less than stock
-skunk2 exhaust, lighter than stock
-stripped trunk
- 2 gallons of gas only
-no windshield wiper water resovior or water
- no windshield wipers
- no windshield wiper motor
- no rear speakers
- no passenger seat
- completely empty car, no personal junk ETC.
Thats about all i can think of for now, its has full GSR suspension now, i know thats heavier than stock for sure. rota rims, nice and light, um i left a healthy dump in the crapper before i started making passes

Thats it, aside from shocking me with the 13.91 pass, the weight also shocked me, lightest b-series sol with almost full interior i know of.

1inch wide chisel and hammer, stuff comes up real easily. Weighs 10 lbs per side!

You need dry ice or it won't come up easy at all, i have done a few cars and it is a PITA dry ice isn't the easiest either, the best time to do it is when it is winter and VERY cold don't need dry ice then.

hell, this 93 civic Dx coupe i just did, i pulled up over 60% of the tar by HAND! on both sides in front of the seat and behind. The chisel was used to get the stubborn areas but it came up in large chunks. I have done 5 hondas so far with this method and its super easy everytime. I dont know why youde use dry ice or think its a pain in the ***, unless you dont know what real work is. Soo easy.
