Tachometer on crack?!
My tach seems to run fine when i'm being easy on the car as in shifting at 3,000 rpm, and not really running it. However, i jump on it one time and run the car like i do when i race and after i ease back down on the car, the tach will climb like normal until 2500-2600 and then it jumps up to 4250 and stays there until i actually reach that engine speed....its not so much a problem, it just gets really annoying. I thought about the possibility of a new cable but it runs fine when i dont really try to push it. any suggestions?
I don't think there's a cable that runs the tach. I'm sure it's all electronic, so I'm thinking there may be a grounding problem somewhere in your cluster, perhaps.
I wish I could take my tach to 8,000 but then i'd really screw my F22. i'll have to check that out and see if there is a bad ground.
