I was at Sears, and they were on sale, for something like $89.00.
Demo pix in the store, show it llifting small light wieght cars, (EF's are lightweight) At least CRX's are.
The jack will support supposedly 2000 lbs. and it lifts pretty high.
Seems like a good choice as a substitute lift
Anyone here ever use one? Is it worth it?

Yes. Why?
Yes. Why?
I think they just came out with those. If you plan on lifting a car with it you should probably get a couple of them. Also use a few sets of jack stands. Really it probably isnt a good idea. It may say 2000 lb lift weight but if you had to depend on it because your gonna lay under it just doesnt sound safe. Call me chickin ****.

Nah I wouldn't count on it to support the car, I'd use to lift the car onto jack stands.
Or use it as an engine/trans jack.
Although, I think it does come with a locking pin mechanism. It is after all it is advertised as a "motorcycle lift". I got to do more research, before I buy it.
That's what H-T is for.

My cars aren't lowered.
But I think it would solve 2 problems at once.
#1 I want to remove the engine from underneath, so I need a jack that will get the car high enough.
#2 Once the car is on jack stands, I can then use the motorcycle jack as an engine dolly, because of it's wide platform, and use that to slide the engine out from underneath.

my stepdad has one for his harley.. and there is no way i would ever lift my car with it... there is no where that you could set the the thing to lift the car without going through the floorboard, and secondly my car would never fit over the sucker
