I had have a b16 in my rex and i hd the same 3000rpm idle problem. take off the fase idle sensor that is below the throttle body (3 10mm screws) and turn the white cap with the slots in it all the way down and then back out 1 1/2 turn will idle perfect at 1100 when cold. as for speratic idle i don't know. but that should fix half of your prob.
