i would recommend doing that first and see if it helps at all

well i would say either regular 10w30, honda mtf, or gm syncromesh friction modified. theres a big debate on which one is the best.

how is the shifter, does it have alot of play in it ?

Honda MTF has been known to help with some of the grinds that we get on our old trannies.

Any Honda dealer will carry it. Prices will vary a bit most likely.

Haha, a trick I learned was when you knock the pin out with some tap thing, put a rag on the top of it to catch the pin with it, that way you don't have to use a new one, but you may want to get a new one anyways.<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by spyz34 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">makes a nasty sound sometimes when i go into reverse. anyone else have this problem?</TD></TR></TABLE>
Sounds like just the normal nasty straight into reverse honda sound, try goin into fourth, then reverse.

Since your tranny grinds, use GM syncromesh, it works wonders. Make sure you change some of the seals, maybe the fluid is leaking?
