Honda didn't call it a wagon. They had an EF wagon with AWD. And a couple of others WAGONS.. But then, Subaru plays with the descriptions of thier cars all the time....... so who knows what is what?
What's the Crossfire?
What about a Chevy Nomad? (2 door wagon? from the 60's, a little bit biigger than Civic hatch)

That's an interesting question!!
I bought a Protege 5 and when I refered to it as a "wagon" to the dealer they got REAL pissy. It's a term that manufacturers have avoided at all costs.
In my mind, what makes the P5 a station wagon is that the tail gate opens up to the top surface of the bumper.
It's not a function of how many doors there are. I owned a 64 Chevelle 2 door wagon (although back when it was new, wagons were called "long roofs" by the manufacturers).
It's not a function of the angle that the tail gate slopes, or a 55 Nomad wouldn't be considered a wagon.
So, Dang, I guess I own a 89 Civic Si "wagon" if you want to be technical. (it's a hatchback)

Reminds me of when I was looking to buy a Subaru BRAT (similar to a Baja?), when I called it a "pick-up" the dealer got pissy and told me it wasn't a "pick-up", It was "open rear deck sport coupe" or some BS such as that.

This is one of the funniest topics I've seen in awhile, there not a wagon, only rednecks would refer to a honda civic hatchback as a wagon.
(not calling anyone who agrees that it is a wagon on H-T, a redneck)

i thought a hatchback is considered a 3dr. coupe.
sedan being 4 doors and a 5dr being a wagon.
anyways i live in mississippi (originally Pacific Beach, Ca. )and i think all the rednecks call the hatchbacks eggs. I even come to call them eggs.
