Default paiting parts under the hood, will i get the result i want?

i'm working on a mini me right now, i have the whole head laid out, i'm slowly cleaning it up.

so i sanded and polished my vtec solenoid, its all nice and shiny, but i know for a fact its gonna tarnish pretty quickly once everything is back on, so i thought, why not paint it?

paint i gunmetal!! hahaha, but seriously tho, lets say i paint the head and everything, in the long, would i have an easier time cleaning the engine from various dust particles and oilspills if its painted properly? or would the painted peices get just as dirty?

it will get just as dirty but it would be a slight bit easier to clean

Aluminum is one of hte only metals on earth that is porus (it absorbs fluids and paticles.......that is why you can stain/anodize aluminum ) Titanium is a slightly porus metal also but not nearly as much as aluminum.
