Default New problem...Strange noises???

Hello itr owners. Last time I had a problem you helped me with great details. Thank you all very much. I went to the dealership knowing what I was talking about and got them to do something about it. Felt Great!
Unfortunately, I have now noticed another strange problem. There is a strange rubbing/squeaking sound when I turn the steering wheel at slow speeds. I also notice it if I turn it slowly while just idling. I have about 21k miles so I'm still in warranty, but have any of you ever experienced this problem? Any ideas? I love going into the dealerships and telling them what's wrong with the car before their techs look at it. You should see their expression.
Anyhow, need your help. Thanks.
Lisa

Is the noise present only at Idle?, mine is a little noisy and i think that someone told me that it is just the bushings/pump and not to worry about it!!

No, it happens whenever I'm rolling slowly and turning the steering wheel. I don't think it's normal because it just started happening.

I think I have the same problem as you. I've narrowed it down to the bushings in the steering column. I had my power steering pump replaced a year ago and the new one is starting to act up again.
My only problem now is that the dealer is 200 miles away.

Have them check the bearings/bushings in the steering column.

Mine does it too, but only when both the weather and the car are cold (like when it had to sit out overnight). Mine's been doing it for over a year and hasn't increased in frequency and isn't any louder so I don't suspect it's a real problem.

My GSR did the same thing. It is the bushing for the stearing column when it goes through the fire wall. Use some lithum grease and shove it inbetween the column and the bushing. I had to use a small screw driver. It stoped making the noise after that.
