valve adjustment????????

Default valve adjustment????????

is .007 for intake and .009 for exhaust coo, or is that too loose. i adjusted mine to those #s while installing skunk2 stage 2 cams and the valves are alot louder...i was wondering if it was the cams or the adjustment???

SKUNK2 STAGE II SPECS:

INTAKE: DURATION @1mm 266º LIFT @ 0" lash: 0.485(12.3mm)
OPENING @1mm: 37º BTDC
CLOSING @1mm: 49º ABDC

EXHAUST: DURATION @1mm 262º LIFT @ 0" lash: 0.466(11.8mm)
OPENING @1mm: 61º BTDC
CLOSING @1mm: 21º ABDC

VAVLE SETTINGS
Lash the valves to stock settings on a cold motor
INTAKE: 0.007in.
EXHAUST: 0.008in.

make sure the feeler guage is snug on the lobe. Make sure their is a little resistance. If they are too tight or too loose, they will be knockin pretty loud. I made the mistake of not doing them tight enough before. Good Luck.
