Default air intake for B16A or CRX???????

I have a 91 crx si with a B16A1 swap, and want to buy an aftermarket air intake. DO I buy an intake for the car (crx) or the engine?

I would imagine that you would have to buy an intake for a VTEC Del-sol (B16A1) due to the throttle body size difference (55mm on the stock CRX engine, 58mm on the B16A1).

Correct me if I am worng, I'm only going on assumption.

the 99-00 Si intakes fit if you relocate your battery. the crx one isnt going to be designed for a b16. Or, you can get one of the new AEM hybrid intakes. I'm not sure when they come out though.

I would get a Del-Sol VTEC, 99-00 Civic Si short ram or cold air work fine, or you can get an AEM CAI for the Type R to work (3" piping)

Yeah I was wondering the same thing.
But I have seen people with intakes and battery in the
stock location.
So which intake will work with a stock battery location?

the reason people get a different intake and relocate the battery is because they want an intake pipe diameter that is matched for the engine. A stock crx intake, or aftermarket for that matter, will work with the battery in the stock location. However, these are usually 2.5" pipes which are designed for a 1.6 liter, 108 hp engine. It'll work with your b16, you will probably just be losing a little power. I cant really say how much, cause I dont know.

I'll be using an Injen CAI for a crx with my b18c because it came with my swap and I'm too cheap to buy anything else right now.
