Don't waste your time cleaning them and get the JDM ones.

and spend $500 just for blacked out housings???? ...i can appreciate the whole JDM thing, but sometimes it can go too far

are you talking about the silver the reflects light, the cover of the entire headlight, or the bulb housing?

look for a used set, they have it on there all the time.

i would personally yank the one old out and polish/clean the plastic up, it would be just as clean

i would definitely check the junkyard before you go out buying new ones. but please talk your gf out of getting an SUV...they are a disease that must be stopped. Might i suggest a nice accord sedan? or perhaps you need the utility of the SUV...in that case, how about a 5th gen wagon?

I paid $200 for JDM Stanley's on ebay with brand new PIAA bulbs. They were used but the only way you could tell was dirt on the backside were you put the bulbs in, the lenses looked mint. Honda will charge you $175+ per assembly for the USDMs (I've looked into it). To me the JDM's are a viable, relatively inexpensive, option. Now since he's/his girls ditching it, thats a different story.
