Maryland - MSF BRC Course 6/2 AACC Who wants my spot?
I have a spot in the MSF basic riders course at Anne Arundel Community College I need to get rid of. The schedule is as follows:
6/2 6:00 PM - 9:15 PM
6/5 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
6/6 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
I bought an earlier spot at PGCC for $100 plus the cost of the class ($107) so I don't need this one anymore. I want to at least make some of my money back. I just want $75 for my spot. The class is an additional $105. Once you complete the class you will get a voucher to get your class M license.
If anyone is interested email me at dwnthehatch@yahoo.com

Yes, $180. You gave to go in person with me to AACC to register. It's still cheaper than the HD Riders Edge course ($295.00). Starting July 1 the course at the community college is going up to $245.
Damn I just checked MapQuest and it's an hour and a half drive for me to get there. Do you know if the course is still valid to obtain my M license in VA even if the course is in MD?
Damn, the response:

I'm seriously considering it, but I'm a little confused as to the cost. I know it's $100 to register for the course right (that's what it says on the MVA website)? I get that you want some of your money back (the $75), but if you drop the course, can't you get your registration fee back? Even if we went to AACC & you say you want to give me your spot, wouldn't they give you your money back?
Yes, I get my $100 back from AACC. What I did as buy someones spot in an earlier class for $100 plus the course fee of $100 and a $5 registration fee. ($205 total) I'm trying to get some of the money back that I paid for the spot, not the class itself. You are basically paying for the the ability to get into a class this year. The class is booked all the way up to it's Sept. ending date this year. You can try getting on standby (which I tried weekly for over a month) but there was only one time someone didn't show up. I was the first person there but that doesn't matter. They take the 20+ people waiting for standby and throw their names in a box and draw the lucky winner.
