USDM Flywheels VS. JDM Flywheels

I have 'HEARD', and seen pics of JDM flywheels having there teeth torn up becuase of using USDM starters.......

Is there any truth to this?

What engine series you talking about? h,b,d,k?

It was on here, maybe a year ago. Forgot about it until today......... I beleive it was a B series. I couldnt find the thread though......
