Default CBR ITB's rough/rich idle....any help?

I just installed a set of CBR954 ITB's on a B16. I have a really rough idle, running rich, and feels like the engine has a miss. The TPS wires have been switched, the injectors are on the B16 manifold, and the eacv is hooked up (zip-tied to the firewall). I have played with the vacuum lines and swapped MAP sensors, but no go. I also played with my fuel controller.....still no improvement. I'm thinking it has something to do with the MAP sensor vacuum, but not sure what the problem is.......can anyone give me some ideas? I need to get the car running right today. THANKS!

I found that using 4 ports off of the itb's teed together for the booster worked fine.....brakes are good.

I found that teeing four more ports together, and running the fuel pressure regulator and map off of that one hose (teed again) helped.

The car is running very rich on the bottom end until 3K.......then the fuel clears out and runs smooth......5K and beyond pulls hard, but was leaning out on the A/F gauge until I bumped the fuel control settings way up on the top end. Fuel pressure is at 30 psi at idle, but it is still rich as hell, even with the fuel leaned to -30% and the timing advanced some to try to deter flooding the chambers.

Another note: I have the itb's mounted upside down to hide all of the vacuum hoses, with the TPS on the passenger side. I had to plug up the breather holes on the #2 throttle inlet.......that helped alot. It was making a psh-psh-psh-psh noise, and it gave the engine a bad miss (thinking vacuum leak?). I'm going to drive it more tomorrow to see if there is anything else I can come up with.

You always here the sucess stories about the homemade itb's....just trying to help the ones having problems like I am. I'm still looking for answers.....

Mine makes the same noise, What breather holes did you plug up and how did you do it.

I replied to your pm.......for now I had to swap my manifold back on. The over-rich condition was unbearable to drive daily. You almost have to fight the car to get going. Even while cruising I could feel the jerk from the chambers loading up with fuel.......

I think the itb's made a huge jump in power from VTEC to redline........the problem is that the map sensor doesn't like them from idle to VTEC, so they run rich as hell.

I should have taken pics when I was over there. I guess I was engulfed with fuel fumes. Nonetheless they looked great, just need to get the bug worked out and see if it can be made streetable.

I am gonna be doing some cbr soon so I am interested in hearing how it comes out, also what 2 holes did you plug up ? I was thinking of using one of the stock cbr fuel injector spots for the brake booster and all the other vacuum hoses would be going to other spots, think that would work out ?

that wont work theirs not enough vacuum for the brake booster u will need to get a vacuum manifold golden eagle has a good one for 35 and it has like 6 spots for vacuum from all the runners and whatever else u want to hook up and it also has a brake booster spot. well worth the money and it looks pretty good too
