Low comp in Cyl1...venting...
bad news guys....if you havent heard, about a month and a half ago, i turboed my GSR with the greddy kit...last night I was driving it fairly hard, when my CEL starts flashing at me..I pulled over to the side of the road and it was wanting to die out. It was ticking real bad, I knew I fucked up something pretty bad, when I reved it ...the thing sounds like a WRX and alot of smoke is coming out of the exhaust. I went home , did a compression test on it...cylinder 1 has no compression
I'm 95% sure I blew a piston... worst feeling...specially when your only 17 years old going away to school soon... with your daily driver sitting in the garage broken .. anyway my only resort is to take off the turbo kit today or tommorow, and take it to acura to get the motor fixed..
the turbo days were great while they lasted...was a blast, but i guess my time had to come ...to be honest it wasn't really worth all the time and effort I put into it. The thing that sux, is I was tryin to get rid of it before it blew a piston...but now my *** is gonna be up to debt like no other.. anyway, just felt like venting to someone, other then having my mom wanting to strangle me
Sounds like you melted your piston due to leaning out. Did you have it tuned by any chance? The headgasket may have also gone or your timing belt possibly could have jumped and bent your valves.... worse case scenerio you'll need new internals and machine work done.
Where do you live? Acura will rape you for a rebuild, if you are in the SC/NC/GA area let me know and I can help you with a rebuild.

theres ur answer
don't go to the dealership, they'll rape you in the ***. find someone in the area on HT to help you with the rebuild, it'll save you A LOT of money and you'll gain experience. what color was the smoke? white/blue/black? does anything smell? have you checked all the belts? have you ever checked your a/f ratio???
