i saw an ecu on ebay, because i think my ecu might be damaged, but what does this mean:
92-95 Honda Civic EX/Si 1.6L SOHC VTEC (D16z6)
or
OBD1 1.6L DOHC VTEC (B16)
or
VTEC-converted Mini-Me setups
or
OBD1 converted D16Y8, B16A2 motors are also supported. B18C1 motors are also supported, but no IAB control (secondary intake runners).
what are secondary intake runners? and do the jdm b16's have that option? can someone explain?

The 92-95 Civic EX's and Si's came with the D16z6 motor.

This was the motor found in JDM CRX Si-R.

An SOHC non-vtec bottom end paired with a vtec SOHC head is commonly referred to as a mini-me, its basically an SOHC version of the LS/B20vtec.

IAB's are the butterfly valves found in b18c1 intake manifolds. The b18c1 manifold is designed to increase low-end power, and thats what these butterflies (or secondaries, same thing) do. Closed until 5400rpm or so, and then they open up for top end power after that. AFAIK no other b-series IM has these butterfly valves, though I could be wrong. I know for sure that the jdm b16a1's IM does not have them.

I'm like 99% sure they are, but the vtec del sol's are b16a2 iirc. The one in the crx si-r is b16a1, but the specs are exactly the same. And they are both obd1's too. i dunno.
you're prolly right though, same engine.
