nhra rule question, and other safety ?'s
my racecar is nearing completion.. but i have a few pretty important questions.
"4:12 Wheelbase
Minimum 90 inches, unless car has original engine in original
location. Maximum wheelbase variation from left to right is 1 inch."
my wheelbase is 86.6", so can i legally put the rear axle back 3.4 inches?
my other question is concerning parachute. my car isnt gonna be fast enough to need one by the rules, but with this short of a wheelbase would it be smart to have one just in case it got sideways? or is it not needed at ~130+

erick raced his first gen at a couple nhra events that didnt seem to be a problem. but if you really want to be sure call nhra. have anymore pics of the car?

well, unless someone says a chute wont do much at that speed i think i am going to get one.
but the wheelbase rule is kinda scaring me.. anyone want to clarify it?

any other opinions on the rear axle situation... anyone know what ericks racing did, from looking at pics it looks as though the axle is in the stock location... for sure it is not 3.4 inches back... so is his car illegal or do they let it slide..
