i had a brain fart! and i need double check my info. ANY year h22 will head fit on a newer h22a4, right? cause i blew my h22a4 i had in my 97 civic. screwed up the head real bad but the block is still salvageable. i snapped a valve spring retainer and a intake valve ,that shot the valve into the piston and the piston hammered it into the head, when i took the head off the valve was pressed into the valve seat sideways. i'm still bummed out about it-

 

<- running an a1 head on an A4 block just make sure you are swapping the OBDII distributor back on the head you get
