Default I'm so sick of wiring problems - read please

Got a 91 DX hatch, had a busted window so i threw on a Si door i had laying around. So obviously your aware of the seat belt differences. Well the DX has those 2 plugs going into each one of the belt pulley things. Well i just cut the wires to take the old beat up DX door off and put the Si door on. Now my damn brake lights don't work. Now they come on when i turn the lights on (headlights), but don't get brighter when i hit the brake pedal.
I looked in my Chilton and half of the wires in the door aren't even in the diagrams. Has anyone ever switched DX and Si doors and had this problem. Is there anyway to attach the wires so my brake lights will work? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
